Official Linehan Institute DBT Training

Professional Training for Mental Health Professionals

Dr. Marsha Linehan

The Linehan Institute recognizes Psychwire as its exclusive provider of online training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Psychwire delivers Linehan Institute–aligned Comprehensive DBT Training and DBT Skills courses based on the model developed by Dr. Marsha Linehan. All training is developed to the highest standards of clinical fidelity established by Dr. Linehan and her collaborators.

Psychwire’s training design reflects how DBT is structured and delivered in clinical practice within an online format. Expert instruction is integrated with therapy demonstrations. Concepts and skills are introduced and then illustrated within clinical sessions, allowing clinicians to see how the DBT model is organized and applied. Therapy demonstrations make therapist decision-making and sequencing visible, and downloadable materials support consistent implementation in clinical work.

More than 5,000 clinicians worldwide have completed Psychwire Linehan DBT training, with 97.8 percent indicating they are likely to recommend it to colleagues across diverse clinical settings.

Important Designation: Certification and Skills Training

Certification Readiness
Completion of DBT Skills courses does not qualify clinicians for DBT certification. Certification in DBT requires completion of the relevant components of Comprehensive DBT Training, followed by application through the DBT-Linehan Board of Certification (DBT-LBC) in accordance with its established protocols.

CE/CME Credits
All DBT Training, including DBT Skills courses and Comprehensive training, include CE/CME credits and a certificate of completion which can be used to show relevant licensing and accrediting boards.
